We’re on our way!
We got some great news today – we are working towards a discharge of this Thursday, April 4th!
The apnea spells that Charlie has been having have improved significantly. It’s ok for him to have a spell as long as he pulls himself out of it. What isn’t ok is when his breathing and heart rate go down and he doesn’t come out of it on his own and he needs some stimulation. When those happen, it buys us an extra 7 days in the NICU. He’s gone several days without a deep spell, and as long as he continues, we’ll keep up with the plan of a discharge on Thursday!
We are very excited to get him home and into his new nursery!
